A Toast to our Lovely Bride to Be
On Saturday we celebrated Jessica's final weekend of being a bachelorette. For the beautiful sunny day we rode in style, a lovely white limo, around woodinville and went wine tasting at a few of the local wineries. It really was the perfect way to celebrate the bride to be!

A Week in Review
Last week was an exciting week in Seattle. It started with a visit from his holiness, the Dhali Lama. I was honored to be able to see him speak at the University of Washington during a convocation ceremony granting him an honorary degree of Doctor in Human Letters. His message was beautiful and simple. I think the we can all start by finding peace within ourselves and then sharing that with one another.
The rest of the week flew by with work, tests and class.
It ended on a surprising note with some unexpected April showers- SNOW SHOWERS!! A cold front went through the area and we had snow showers Friday and Saturday. The biggest accumulation was on Friday evening. Here are a few pictures of our Spring showers. Don't the blooming flowers look beautiful in the snow?

Girl's Just want to have Fun!
A few Saturdays ago, myself and a couple of my fellow married girlfriends decided to have our own ladies night. We decided that even though we are married there is no reason that we can't have fun girl nights anymore. So we got dolled up and found a place to go dance. We had a great time and I look forward to another "Ladies' night" soon.
Here is Katrina, Erin and I before heading out to cut a rug!

Did you have your tacos??
Tonight we held our first, of hopefully many, "Taco Tuesdays". We had a great time and enjoyed authentic Mexican cuisine at a hole in the wall in Ballard called "La carta de Oaxaca". The food was very similar to what we have seen in Mexico and the house margarita was a perfect compliment to the meal.
I'm sure some of you can agree with me when I say that Tuesdays are typically a hard day of the week to get out. They're not Mondays, where you are catching up and are restarting the new week, so there are no excuses to put off some of your work. They are still the beginning of the work week. And they definitely don't feel like you are close to the end of the week and can relax. But I think Mark said it best-all of these reasons are the exact reason why you should take out time for taco Tuesdays. We shouldn't just accept that we have to be stressed on any specific day of the week. We deserve some enjoyable time to breathe and relax everyday. So if anything, I encourage taking time to do something that makes you feel good on Tuesdays and that can count as your "taco" on Tuesdays.
Here is a picture of tonight's group. Left to right- Jared, Genevieve, Katrina, Mark - (Michelle behind the camera)
Rules for Taco Tuesdays per Mark:
1. No Nerd-speak. (This means no nursing or nutrition chat)
2. If you're not sure if this is the place, walk by twice looking perplexed. (It's quite entertaining for those of us in the restaurant)
3. Arm bands, not required, but preferred. (It's a girl accessorizing thing)
4. No Rules
Quotes of the evening:
"I'll have the 8, the 10, the 8, no, no, the 10." Kat
"You have to be careful 'down there'." Kat
"Mark, I want a blog!" Kat
"Blog night." Mark
"I love old men!" Michelle
"Me too!" Kat
"I'm known for my sandy hoo-haw." Kat
"Hi, I'm Brandy Gatewater, nice to meet you." Jared
So next Tuesday, don't be surprised if you're asked if you've had your tacos!
